Meet: The Brodskys

I like to ask my clients (especially when a family has little ones) what their favorite thing to do together is. I ask this so we can capture real moments and memories and it doesn’t hurt that it keeps the kids occupied and happy. The instant reply from Nikki was fishing. I haven't been fishing since I was about 7-years-old, however, memories of catching little fishies and baiting worms all flushed backed. Needless to say, I was thrilled for the nostalgia and the thought of these memories being forever captured by my photography for Nikki, Clint, and their children.

We met at Idlewild Park in Burlington, Kentucky where there was a cute little pond. It was the perfect setting for this family photo session. Momma, Nikki, is also a Cincinnati photographer and she is full of laughter and fun. Her daughter, Mila, is one of the sweetest kids I have ever met and such a ham for the camera. It seems Mila takes after her mom with her personality, but as you can tell by some of the images below, she is definitely a daddy’s girl. Mila and her dad, Clint, fish together often and had just return from a fishing trip. There is something so special to me about photographing soft dad moments. Baby boy Beckett, in his overalls gives me such old school rustic vibes and was quiet and reserved like his dad. Mila did get him to come out of his shell a few times for the camera, one of which, is when she forced a smile on his face. Hah!

It wasn’t all about the kids, this couple is seriously in love. After two kids and married life, Nikki still flirts with Clint like they just started dating. She even made sure to get a booty smack and some kisses in during the session. Seeing couple like this is what gives me hope.
